Prepare for winter, save your acorns
Squirrel Fund
Squirrel Fund is an app that helps you keep track of your acorns (money)... how much you have, how much you’re bringing in and spending, and helps you set up goals for saving.
How it works
Let’s get your acorns in order.
1. Count your acorns today
Start by counting the acorns you have today and sorting them into spendable money and long-term investments. Then divide your spendable acorns into stashes for the things you’re saving for.
2. Set your monthly budgets
Decide how many acorns you want to spend each month and what you want to spend them on, from groceries to a little fun.
3. Track how many acorns come in and go out
Whenever new acorns come in or you spend a few, add them to Squirrel Fund so your collection stays up to date. It only takes a moment, even on your phone.
4. Sort your leftover nuts at the end of the month
At the end of each month, we’ll help you review what came in, what went out, and which stashes should hold the acorns you saved.
Once you’re settled in, you’ll have one place to see your whole acorn collection and figure out what you can spend, what you’ve saved, and how your plans are coming along.
Drey and its monthly nut check are optional, so you can start with everyday tracking and add them whenever you’re ready.
By invitation
Want to join our Squirrel Fund oasis?
Our forest oasis is pretty exclusive right now… if you’d like a spot in one of our trees, you’ll need an invite from one of our current squirrels. Don’t know a squirrel from our oasis yet? Use the form below to send us a message, and we can talk about letting you in.

Have a look around Hazel’s Drey.
We’ve filled a sample Squirrel Fund with six months of acorns, a few savings goals, and one unexpectedly expensive car repair. Open the stashes, look through the budgets, or see how Hazel sorted things out at the end of each month.
Everything inside is made up. You can explore the screens and scenery, but adding and editing are turned off. No account needed.
